"Everyone has gifts.  Gifts are obvious & subtle, radiate in a smile, shine through compassion & resonate in talent.  Everyone has unique gifts.  Each opened & celebrated on different occasions."

Areas of Exceptionality
The term "children with disabilities" includes, without limitation, all children who, because of permanent or temporary mental, physical or emotional disabilities, need special education, are unable to have all their educational needs met in a regular class without special education and related services, or are unable to be adequately educated in the public schools.  Surry County Schools offer programs and services to cover all areas of exceptionality.
