Welcome to the Surry County Schools Human Resources website.  Surry County is a great place to live and work.  In the Human Resources Department our goal is clear, to provide a caring, competent and committed teaching force with service to children as our focus.  We feel that we have such a team in place and would encourage prospective employees to use our website to pursue employment, answer questions or to contact us for assistance.  As we continue to roll out our new site we will be adding new links and additional information on a regular basis.  Please continue to visit often!

Certification Programs
The certification link provides information regarding certification programs available at local colleges and universities.

Health Plans
Surry County Schools offers Health, Dental and Life Insurance for employees working at least 30 hours per week.  Employees have the option to purchase dependent coverage also.  The health insurance is provided by North Carolina Teachers' and State Employee Comprehensive Major Medical Plan.  The dental is provided by Ameritas Life Insurance Corporation.  The life insurance is provided by Met Life Insurance Company.
