	BEGINNERS DAY INFORMATION FOR RISING KINDERS (English) (98KB)
	All elementary schools in the Surry County district are now accepting pre-registrations for kindergarten and pre-kindergarten classes for the 2011-2012 school year. Anyone whose child will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2011, should call the school in his/her attendance district. Children who are 4 years old on or before August 31, 2011 may be eligible for pre-kindergarten. It is very important for school personnel to know as soon as possible how many children will be registering for the 2011-2012 school term. Please contact the school located in your district today! 	Todas las escuelas elementales en el distrito escolar del Condado de Surry ahora están aceptando pre-registraciones para las clases de Jardín Infantil (kinder) y pre-Jardín (pre-kinder) para el año escolar 2011-2012. Aquellas familias con niños y niñas que van a cumplir 5 años de edad el 31 de agosto de 2011 o antes, deben llamar a la escuela cercana a su residencia. Los niños y niñas que cumplan 4 años de edad el 31 de agosto de 2011 o antes, podrían ser elegibles para el pre-Jardín Infantil. Es muy importante para los directivos de las escuelas conocer lo antes posible, cuantos niños se van a registrar para el año escolar 2011-2012. 	The parent/teacher/student commitment to excellence contract are to be signed by the parents, students, and teachers at the beginning of transition years. Transition years are kindergarten, 6th grade, and 9th grade.
